"Women Power Against NMD!"

"Women oppose precious resources meant to enhance welfare and human rights being used instead to make weapons that destroy life!"

The Women Making Peace, Korea Women's Association United, Korea Women's Hotline, Womenlink Korea, The Korean Catholic Women's Community, and Korea Women's Center of Social Research gathered on May 24 in commemoration of the World Women's Day for Peace and Disarmament. They condemned the US's plans for the National Missile Defense (NMD) and Theater Missile Defense (TMD), which they said were threatening peace on the Korean peninsula and the whole of Northeast Asia.
