Chae Mi-sun, Kim Jum-sook, Lee Jin-ah, and Han Mi-sun (from the left) became the first Asian women to climb the Trango Tower(6,239 meters high), also known as Nameless Tower of Pakistan which features a 1000-meter vertical drop. It has a reputation for being one of the most demanding rocks for women to climb. The 34-pitch route they took was the most challenging.

The expedition whose members are well over 40 years old successfully reached the peak and returned to the base camp on August 12 morning(local time). It took them just 5 days/4 nights. Following the Slovenian women team in 2006, they were the second women expedition to reach the summit. Furthermore, they were the first Asian group. They are scheduled to return home on September 5.
