The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family is holding World Women's Ministerial Conference at Hotel Sheraton Walker-hill on 13th, 2pm, the second day of World Women's Forum 2007. Participants will exchange cases of each country for women's empowerment and proposals to build future-oriented gender equality system, 'Good Governance.'
Dr.Jang Pil-Hwa, professor of women's study at Ewha Womans University, will be session chair and women ministers of eight nations participate as speakers including Meutia Farida Hatta, Indonesia's State Minister for Women's Empowerment, Inamova Svetlana Tursunovna, Uzbekistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Chairwoman of the Women's Committee, Geeteara Safiya Choudhury, Bangladesh's Honorable Advisor of Women and Children Affairs, Yu-Foo Yee Shoon, Singapore's Minister of Community Development, Youth and Sports, Laura Albornoz, Chile's Minister of National Women's Service, Clare Beckton, Canada's Minister of National Women's Service (attending on behalf of Minister), Heike Claessen, Germany's Assistant Ministerial Counsellor/Gender Equality Division(attending on behalf of Minister), and Saloua Ayachi Labbene, Tunisia's Minister of Women, Family, Children and the Elderly Affairs.

'여성 평등 시스템' 노하우 나눈다
세계 10개국 여성장관이 한자리에 모여 '여성의 미래와 굿 거버넌스'를 주제로 각국의 여성정책에 대한 정보와 의견을 나눈다.
여성가족부는 '2007 세계여성포럼' 행사 둘째날인 13일 오후 2시 서울 쉐라톤 워커힐 호텔에서 세계 여성장관회의를 개최한다. 여성의 권한 강화(임파워먼트)를 위한 국가별 사례와 미래지향적인 여성평등 시스템, '굿 거버넌스' 구축을 위한 제언 등을 공유한다.
장필화 이화여대 교수(여성학)가 좌장을 맡고, 메우티아 파리다 하타 인도네시아 여성권익부 장관, 이나모바 스베틀라나 우즈베키스탄 부총리 겸 여성위원회 위원장, 기타아라 사피야 초두리 방글라데시 여성아동부 장관, 유-푸 이순 싱가포르 지역사회개발청소년체육부 장관, 라우라 알보르노스 칠레 여성부 장관, 클레어 벡튼 캐나다 여성지위청 조정관(장관 대리인), 하이케 클라센 독일 연방가족노인여성청소년부 장관 자문관(장관 대리인), 살루아 아야시 랍벤느 튀니지 여성가족아동노인부 장관 등 8개국 여성장관들이 연사로 참석한다.
